Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX 4G Review

My husband gave this phone to me as a surprise anniversary present. I previously had an HTC. It was equally classy and brilliant but it had some battery and power issues so I had been thinking to get a new one with more reliable battery and software update system. Keeping in mind the previous issues I was having with my phone, my husband got this one after making a lot of research online and comparing it with the rest of competing options. This is my first Motorola. Despite the fact that I am obsessed with sleek black phones, this one has various other features which I love to max.
- The 3.4 inch screen is big and bright with a good color resolution. I am not sure if it is as good as others yet it serves the purpose well. It has a relatively quicker processor; I could easily switch to home screen and other apps in no time. 4G speed makes the connectivity another plus point, I could easily surf internet and download multiple files at a time. Additionally you can easily watch news or movies along with doing other work. The good part is ICS update, which will resolve any issues in future. It has a smooth and a great build quality with a shiny decent Gorilla Glass front. Once you hold it, you know what it is. Most of these sophisticated phones have issues with sounds especially with music or even in call volume. But the voice quality is excellent in this regard. The biggest issue I had with my previous phones was the battery problem. Once you open an app or download something, you run out of the battery instantly. It is ridiculous since most of the times when you have to make an important official call your phone’s battery ditches you. So it has solved my battery problems and concerns. This feature makes it perfect for me!
Since I am not much into Apple, despite the features and options it provides. I like to go for something not so common and something unique. So it is a better option in those terms as well. I am fond of taking pictures of every event or even little moments. The camera is not very good. So that is a little disappointing. But anyways I can manage that issue with the best digital cam I have. Comparatively it has many disadvantages but so far it is doing well. It is bit too expensive. Lack of Ice Cream Sandwich can be problematic for Maxx users. But I can do well without it too.
Pros
- Excellent battery
- Good sounds
- Strong connectivity
Cons
- Poor camera quality
- Too expensive
- No Ice Cream Sandwich

“4G With Finally A Better Battery”
Pros
Excellent design Immensely good looking Fast response Smooth touch screen Insane speeds Good battery lifeCons
Custom interface is really a turn off The camera is a bit on the shallow side A bit too fragileSummary
I am a huge fan of Motorola mobile devices. I recently got my hands on the critically acclaimed Motorola Droid Razr. But just like anyone else, I had serious issues with its rather short battery life. I was a bit displeased with the quality of the battery and wasn’t expecting it to be so short. Just like anyone else, I complained and Motorola finally heard.
Enter the Motorola Razr MAXX. This phone is essentially the same phone but with a much better battery. I can now finally have a lot more talk time than before. Other changes also include upgraded software and a new material on the back that makes it a little less slipper than before. Now I can finally use 4G without the worry of the phone dying out soon.
The only problem that I see many of you will face with the phone is its awkward interface customization. I already have a Samsung Galaxy S II and I believe Motorola has done a really bad job with the custom interface. I think the look and functionality does come in your way a lot. I would recommend that if you are sensitive about interfaces, do compare it with other phones first before buying.
“Great Looking Phone With Great Battery”
Pros
Excellent Screen quality Amazing battery lifeCons
Specifications are not on par with others Is a bit too fragile Requires a lot of careSummary
The Motorola Razr Maxx is definitely good for one thing, its looks. But seldom does it occurs that a good looking phone also have a great set of features. This phone offers both in a set of an amazing little piece. The phone has such a good battery that I was amazed it lasted for more than a single day with 4G turned on.
It seems Motorola was not pleased with the predecessor model when people complained about its short battery, but now everything is in place with the phone. Thanks to its amazing Super AMOLED touchscreen, the phone looks so good that I can easily impress my friends with it. I am often found streaming video on it because it offers such a high quality feedback.
The only little issue I believe a lot of people will have with the phone is its design. Lets be honest, this phone isn’t built for everyone. It is fragile, slippery and demands a lot of care. This may be the thinnest phone in the market but its also very capable of getting destroyed even with a single drop.
The only thing you should consider about the phone is its battery life. Unlike other top phones in the market, I believe Motorola Razr MAXX is the only smartphone that will offer you a long battery life. If you want a phone with insane battery, this is it.
