When I first received this computer, the touch screen function would not work. This was a bit disappointing. I contacted the Sony tech support and they told me that it was a hardware/software problem. So I asked for a replacement which came to me 2 days later, which was great. The replacement worked perfectly. I was really amazed the build quality of this unit. Also it was very well packaged.

The setup was very easy; the system was up and running in 15 minutes. The startup was pretty straight forward. The first thing I did was adjust the wireless mouse action and appearance. It has a pretty neat processor which unit is very fast as it starts up and shuts down in seconds unlike my laptop which takes minutes to complete both the tasks. Even while running multiple programs, this unit is fast and very quiet. I also noticed that unlike most laptops this does not generate a substantial amount of heat like most laptops.

The touch screen feature works flawlessly and I use it quite frequently. The 24″ screen display is amazing and installing clear type improves the appearance of text. The desktop was uncluttered with only three connections: the power cord and two USB cables for the printer and scanner. I would recommend installing the various Vaio updates which can be very helpful. Also you can always update the display driver. The latter seems to improve the display speed.

Overall I am extremely pleased with this computer’s performance. It has some pretty great features which makes it worth the money. If you are looking for a decent desktop with good speed and processor than you should definitely buy this product.
