I previously owned the Summer Infant Night & Day Video Monitor and the video quality of this monitor was amazing. However a couple of months back, the volume didn’t work at certain levels and the sound started to have more static, making it distracting during sleep for me. This is why we started looking for digital monitors as I have heard they never get the static sound.

I came across this monitor over the internet and decided to give it a try. From the start I feel in love with the sleek look of the monitor and all of its features. Everything works perfectly, except for the video quality. If this is your first video monitor, you’ll probably love this since you won’t have anything to compare it to. However if you’ve had great video quality before and are switching to this video monitor, then it will be noticeable for you.

The video is a bit grainy and the movement is somewhat choppy. However I can still make out where the baby is and she is doing, but it’s just not crystal clear like the picture on the box shows. The features of this monitor on the other hand are very amazing. They outweigh the bad video quality, which is why I have decided to keep this monitor.

Overall I wasn’t really thrilled after buying this monitor. I do like the features; however I still think that they need to improve the quality of the video. If you don’t really mind the above stated issue, than this can be an excellent monitor for you.
